Busy & Sleep Deprived
Whew, time sure flies by caring for three young ones! It is amazing how much of a difference there is from one to two babies. Many will say yea, what are you stupid, of course they are going to be a lot of work. But, I have to say:
1 baby = yay amount of work
2 babies does not equal 1 baby + 1 baby
It is more like 2 babies = (1 + 1) x 3.2
We definitely need to guilt grandma into staying for another five months. So if anyone wants to come help, we welcome you with open arms. The 12 am to 6 shift is wide open!
Both of the babies were weighed today. Tyler came in at 8 lb 10 ounces. Alyson came in big at 7 lb 7 ounces.

I could have helped you last night….I was up most of the 12 a.m to 6 a.m. shift, until I had to get up at 5. Taking care of babies might have taken my mind off my achy hip and leg! I’m anxious to get my arms around those babies. Hugs and love to all.

That is some interesting math you pulled out there buddy. I look at the math this way…
1 Jayden + 1 Tyler + 1 Alyson = Two very wonderful but very tired parents!
Great picture of the two of them. Things should settle down in the next two years or so. Then you have all time to sleep!
You just learned what every parent comes to find out - no matter what the ages, 1+1 = a whole lot more than 2. Don’t want to be a downer or anything, but when Jayden is 3 and Tyler and Alyson are 2, it will be more like 1+1+1 = 47,456,986,321. Just keep swimming….
lol very true I should of expanded a little more on this and threw in the factor of Jayden. When two babies are not content, throw in an almost 2 year old, whoa!
Ann you are welcome anytime
And no wonderful happening here, you only feel as if you are neglecting the others. Too many to give too much attention too!
I’m glad things are going in the right direction now but where did you come up with that math? Must be not enought sleep! Uncle Terry
Scott - take it from the youngest of 10 children - you are doing your best and all three will know they are loved - if they don’t - just keep telling them!
@ Terry, - its some of that new fangled math I learned. Things you learn from info commercials at those times nothing else is on. heh ; )
I guess I keep forgetting that Missy, good lord thats a lot of children. What farm did you live on?
I’d love to help you out Scott. Too bad you live so far away. You should move to Denver to be close to your brother Mike and the mountains. :-p
Shooooot, you would have to make up for me moving away from my parents.. Which means you would have daycare thursday and Friday, and any other time we need it.
oh…well… I didn’t think aboot that. On second thought, stay there. I’ll come visit once in a while. Deal?
No, I need to be re-reimbursed for emotional damage. So if you could send that I would appreciate it.
